The President has nominated James Macy, โ€‹a longtime management side labor lawyer, to fill a seat at the NLRB expiring August 27, 2030.

Mr. Macy is at the Labor Department, serving as the acting head of the Wage and Hour Division, and as the director of the Office of Workersโ€™ โ€‹Compensation Programs.

Mr. Macy โ€‹spent more than 40 years in private practice representing employers and municipalities, most recently at von Briesen & Roper in Wisconsin.

The president also re-nominated current Member David Prouty for a term expiring August 27, 2031.

Confirmation by the Senate will bring the Board up to four Members. By tradition, major policy changes occur only when there are three votes.
